This wiki is based entirely on The Legend of Dragoon, a role-playing video game for Playstation 1. There are currently 285 articles and 399 files on site, with 4,930 edits made to 1,039 pages in total.

Why Move Away from Wikia?

To better understand, there are a number of discussions and articles online that share their experiences. One example is found in this write-up, where the wiki team for Runescape explains why they left Wikia's Fandom platform. Another example is this discussionabout The Sims' wiki where some users discuss the potential barriers of expertise and time required to set up their own site. They also talk about the reality that it is difficult to erect "We have moved!" indicators or close the Wikia wiki, leaving it prone to vandalism as well as splitting the editor base. They are already invested in Wikia, but feel trapped there. In short, many wiki teams are dissatisfied with the service.

Benefits to an Independent Wiki

• No ads cluttering up pages.
• Staying in parity with the latest version of MediaWiki means less security vulnerabilities.
• A vetting process for editors, to prevent vandalism or spreading misinformation.
• Comprehensive information that has been extensively tested or outright data-mined.
• Inclusion of extended lore from official sources such as the Official Japanese Guidebook.
• Preservation of lost information from fansites no longer operational and the official website which is now recorded only in pieces on archive.org.

History

2025

• July 29th At this point the wiki was still missing a majority of its content and most pages contained errors. It has since been exhaustively overhauled by Wulves, who:
  • Filled in all of the missing articles for Enemies, Mechanics, and wrote several others for Locations and NPCs.
  • Added additional content and formatting to all articles (several categories of information were missing such as the entire submap sections and encounter data for locations.)
  • Extensively tested and double-checked all articles for technical accuracy, removing hundreds of errors in the process.

2008

• May 4th – The Wikia site is created by Cubixlolz
