Miranda is the first Sacred Sister of Mille Seseau. As a Sacred Sister, Miranda is a natural healer with a tender heart and unwavering loyalty to Queen Theresa. However, Miranda's disposition is frequently assertive, if not outright aggressive, featuring moments of confrontation and conflict between her and the party. Miranda has long, blonde hair with fringes and bangs, paired with brown eyes.
Additional writing is to be added in the below div tag, below where the "Additional Text Goes Here" comment appears. This prevents the rest of the page contents being pushed very far down by default in the event that a reader is not looking for story content at the moment, while still allowing anyone to opt-in. Shana is the first party character we are introduced to in the game, and childhood friend of Dart Feld. She is originally from the town of Seles. Shana is kidnapped, setting the precedence for Dart's journey into Hellena Prison. Shana is a sweet-natured girl with something to prove. Though she has a will to fight, she also has a tendency to push herself to a point that one could argue are cumbersome. Regardless, she is loyal to her friends and shows her kindness not just through words, but action. Shana has brown eyes and brown, fringed hair pulled into a ponytail. Her gaze is large with dainty, delicate lips pressed into a muted smile.
However, it is fair to assume that the reader is aware of events prior to the point that this person is introduced. -->

Lavitz is the head of the First Knighthood in the Kingdom of Serdio. Being one of King Albert's most trusted knights, Lavitz grew-up in the Kingdom of Basil as one of many generations of knights.
Overall, Lavitz is a friendly man, dutiful to not only his country but his friends and family. The story dedicates time to developing the relationship between that of Lavitz and Dart to parallel one of brotherly love.
In comparison to the protagonist, Dart, Lavitz is stockier. He sports a blonde fringe cut paired with heavy-set brows that frame light eyes- a pale shade of blue/gray.
<!--Initial expansion of synopsis. Provide an opening paragraph or two. What has this character done, and where have they been? What are they like, and what are their motivations? Use their involvement in the game's events as a guide. For Player Characters, please separate content with headings for chapter 1-4. Begin a line with a semicolon followed by chapter number, i.e. ";Chapter 1". This creates a heading that doesn't count as a section header in the page's table of contents.
Additional writing is to be added in the below div tag, below where the "Additional Text Goes Here" comment appears. This prevents the rest of the page contents being pushed very far down by default in the event that a reader is not looking for story content at the moment, while still allowing anyone to opt-in. Apart from the div and span tags, proceed to format the story content as you would ordinarily.-->
<!--Synopsis: Begin with introduction to playstyle as it relates to battle statistics. -->
Dart grows as an all-around character, having average stats and some of the most straightforward (if varied) additions in the game. He is introduced at level 1. Often, his AT, DF, MAT, and MDF will be within a few points of each other after factoring in base stats for his level; and assuming that his gear is of the same general quality. While he is not specialized in this way, Dart will still prove to be capable in most combat situations.
Dart can deal fair damage with both his physical D-attack and spells. The Red-Eye Dragoon's magic will focus on offense, featuring a mixture of both single-target and AoE abilities. #While Dart is the field character, standing still for a time will cause his idle animation to play. He will cross his arms and tap his foot on the ground, as if to show that he's waiting to proceed.
#When dispirited in combat, his idle animation will put his arms to each side, hanging downward along with his sword.
#At the point of "red" HP, he will be down on one knee with sword angled to the ground behind him.
#There is a leftover "beta" character model of Dart for use on field maps, with orange armor and lower overall resolution. This model is actually used in at least one in-game cutscene. When Dart, Lavitz and Shana are fleeing from Hellena Prison on horseback, look at Dart's 3D model closely (or pause with video footage).
#Dart's addition, Madness Hero, generates the mose base SP in the game (204 SP at max level).
#Dart is the only known character to wield two Dragoon Spirits. This theme is reminiscent of other "leader" types as displayed in productions such as Power Rangers (Tommy), and Avatar (Jake Sully).
#Dart was going to be in Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale as DLC alongside Abe from the Oddworld series. Character artist Mike Edwards even created a 3D model for the game, but the plans were canceled.
#Originally, Dart's sword did not have a red hilt. It looked a bit different overall, and is still present and used in the game. Watch closely during his transformation sequence at the end of the game.

Meru first appears in the Flower City, Donau, where she is being apprehended by bandits. Meru claims one of them touched her butt because they were unable to resist how pretty she was. The bandits are dumbfounded at her statement, causing Meru to get upset. She believes they weren't taking her seriously, so she winds up a strong punch that strikes through two of three of the bandits, knocking them back a great distance. The bandits immediately question her naivety, only to find out Meru knew exactly who and what they were. Intimidated by her, they fled the scene. Dart and friends walk down from the mayor's home to find Meru chasing off one of the bandits. She is at first hostile towards them, pulling out her hammer and asking them if they were apart of the Gehrich gang. Albert notices she has the same hair as Lloyd; Haschel comments everything else about them is different. Meru continues to ask about who Dart's group could be, stating they were odd looking people. She asks for Dart's name, and returns her's, introducing herself as the best dancer in Donau. Rose recommends that they ignore her and continue their mission. Albert agrees, citing their objective to rescue Lynn. Meru overhears this and becomes overjoyed, explaining that she was going to rescue Lynn too, but then those bandits came.

The Forest is a wooded area with assorted trees, shrubs and worn paths. It does not appear to have much traffic due to haphazard crossings. Woodland creatures inhabit the area; including small rodents that hang out near a merchant and follow Dart while he's nearby.
<!--Initial expansion of synopsis. Provide an opening paragraph or two. Additional writing is to be added in the below div tag, where "Additional Text Goes Here" is written as a placeholder. The code it is wrapped in, will allow the Story section to have one paragraph showing by default, and the rest of the write-up expanded via a "Read More" button. This prevents the rest of the page contents being pushed very far down by default in the event that a reader is not looking for story content at the moment, while still allowing anyone to opt-in. Apart from the div and span tags, proceed to format the story content as you would ordinarily.-->
On his mission to save Shana, Dart must get through the Forest to reach Hellena Prison. Near an area where a log connects a cliff to another cliff, Dart encounters some horned wolf that he seems to recognize from the past. He shouts that he has no time to deal with it, and it runs off. Dart then reminisces of the past, where he and Shana were crossing the same log, and where the seemingly same wolf or similar wolf tried to attack them. Little Dart protected Shana by shouting at the wolf to leave Shana alone.

Seles is a small village near the southeastern border of Serdio. It is the current hometown of Dart and Shana. As Dart returns from a five-year journey in pursuit of the Black Monster, he finds the village in ruin.

Story
;Introduction
In the opening, the ground is set ablaze by order of Fruegel, head warden of Hellena Prison. Soldiers advance on horseback as villagers flee. Houses burn, up through the rooftops. The Great Commander rides into the village, escorted to where Shana has been captured. After a short discussion with The Hooded Man, she is taken away to Hellena.

A majority of the buildings are burned down and destroyed, the survivors forced to live in ruins of their old homes. Dart arrives near Seles the next day, reading about a rumored war approaching from a news pamphlet. Upon hearing the galloping of horses, Dart gets up and is greeted by two soldiers. They question whether Dart is a mercenary with their weapons drawn at him. Dart draws his sword himself, startling one of the soldiers. Before anything could happen, a thundering noise approaches the three. A Dragon appears, causing the two guards to flee. Dart tries to fend off the dragon, but has to escape after realizing its power. While trying to run, a woman dashes over to Dart and brings him behind a forested area where the Dragon cannot see him. The woman mentions after they are safe that "that village" could have easily been destroyed without a Dragon. Dart questions her statement, and suddenly realizes she must be talking about Seles. Dart exclaims that Seles is his village, and rushes off towards it. Dart returns to find the village destroyed like she said; some buildings still smoldering. As he enters the village, he encounters some stragglers from the attack and fights to protect the remaining villagers.
<div class="mw-collapsible mw-collapsed" id="mw-customcollapsible-myDivision">
Further into town, Dart comes across his friend Plos, one of few survivors. Plos clarifies the situation with Shana, saying she was taken away and that she is the reason the village was targeted. Dart doesn't have much time to digest this information before the Commander shows up. The Commander reveals that Shana has been taken to Hellena Prison, then charges forward to attack. After defeating him, Dart lets Plos know that he'll be back with Shana.

Dart finds a few more survivors. Among them is his old sword master Tasman. Tasman challenges Dart, wanting to ensure his old pupil is strong enough to take on Hellena. This battle is optional and only serves as a tutorial. Dart then sets out on his new quest to rescue Shana.
