A self-proclaimed "gamer's gamer" they play several genres, keeping an eye out for entertaining game mechanics and a solid gameplay loop. A budding game developer, Drew puts their focus on balanced workflow as well as the player experience. They also enjoy board games, and self-labels as a creative type.

Drew first learned of Legend of Dragoon in a Toys R Us store near Chicago, Illinois. It was likely the Jampack 2000 demo disc. They don't remember talking about it, but apparently one of their parents noticed and bought it for them. Since that time ~18 years ago they have loved the game - albeit less blindly in more recent years. Eventually, in fall 2007 they decided to start rallying fans for no reason other than to celebrate enjoyment of the game. It was then that they met random folks from all over the world, talking online about LoD and what we could be as a community. Drew admits to being quite naive at the time, and while there was a lot of buzz <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">at the time </del>they chose to close the group after getting a cease-and-desist letter from Sony in 2008. Their support group wasn't consciously making a fan game about LoD, but it was seen that way and Drew was barely 18 <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">at the time</del>; afraid to get in trouble. From there that support group shrunk down significantly; some stayed to try being independent game developers. Drew browsed around online regarding LoD in the years following, however their main role as a rallying figure within the community would fade away for some time.

DrewUniverse started getting more involved with the general LoD community in early 2017. After always knowing how passionate the fanbase is and how much it clamors for a new title, Drew began to take a closer look at the state of things. New title or not, they noticed that while this community has its strengths it has also shown particular flaws from the time of the game's release through to present day. The primary thing they point out and refer to is the lack of interconnectivity and teamwork displayed in the community most of the time. From there, Drew endeavored to try and set up the foundation for a more organized and entertaining community framework. First by founding a Discord server for the fanbase, and soon after that requesting moderator status on the most active Facebook group as well as the subreddit.

Since then it's been about raising awareness that the fanbase needs to be more united in their fandom, and calling on volunteers to help revitalize or initiate projects like the wiki, a resource archive, and language translation. Drew has made a personal effort to give their time and attention to several Twitch and Youtube streamers in an effort to feel compersion from other people enjoying the game, while simultaneously offering fun trivia and community information when permitted to do so. Drew's recent work is in the form of the latest news updates they provide to the community on multiple social networks, as well as stable progress with regard to the wiki and to the translation of the Japanese Guidebook. One of their next hopes is to establish a 24/7 LoD Radio program that plays the broad soundtrack autonomously, while also accepting user requests and including live podcasts about the game from time to time.

<ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">
</ins>

DrewUniverse is a vast array of interests and concepts.
New page

Since then it's been about raising awareness that the fanbase needs to be more united in their fandom, and calling on volunteers to help get the process in motion.

Drew's recent work is in the form of the latest news updates he provides to the community on multiple social networks, as well as stable progress with regard to the wiki and to the translation of the Japanese Guidebook.

=== Trivia ===

*The hardest addition for Drew to complete in LoD is Rod Typhoon (Lavitz)
*The rarest LoD item Drew has in real life, is an unused phone card in mint condition.
