<!--Synopsis - a brief summary of who the character *is*. Appearance, terse context in relation to surroundings or significant events. Avoid spoilers: only list information that is available to the player by the time they are first introduced to the character in-game. For example, if the player is Lavitz, do not write that he dies shortly after he joins the party. Save such spoilers for the Story section. However, it is fair to assume that the reader is aware of events prior to the point that this person is introduced. -->

Additional writing is to be added in the below div tag, below where the "Additional Text Goes Here" comment appears. The code it is wrapped in, will allow the Story section to have one paragraph showing by default, and the rest of the write-up expanded via a "Read More" button. This prevents the rest of the page contents being pushed very far down by default in the event that a reader is not looking for story content at the moment, while still allowing anyone to opt-in. Apart from the div and span tags, proceed to format the story content as you would ordinarily.-->

(Synopsis) Dart is the central protagonist of the story. He is one of few who survived when his childhood hometown, Neet, was destroyed by the Black Monster. The story for Legend of Dragoon begins with Dart returning to his current home village of Seles on a quest to pursue the Black Monster. Between the encroachment of Imperial Sandora and a Dragon on the loose, Dart will face many challenges and revelations in his adventures.

Dart is a young man whose life turned tragic when an attack on his village wiped out everything he holds dear. Although his heart is heavy, Dart has a positive outlook and will always help a friend in need. His loyalty and unwavering bravery stand out throughout his adventure. Not one to express emotions that he holds inside, Dart will grow on his journey to avenge his parents' deaths. At the end of the story, he still cares for his father Zieg after being freed of Melbu Frahma's possession.

Dart is the all-rounder in the party. Literally being average in all stats, Dart has a surprising amount of survival skill. Considering how many water enemies the developers put into the game, Dart's Fire attribute is one of the best elements for offense. Dart also has the most additions to master, which doesn't come as a surprise as he's forced to be in the party the majority of the time. The timing for his Additions is very player-friendly as well, so there's no frustration here as opposed to other characters. Overall, Dart has no real strengths or weaknesses, though you could see him shine brightest if you make good use of his Fire element. Still, he is the male member with the strongest magical attribute.

Stats
Dart grows as an all-around character, having average stats and some of the most straightforward (if varied) additions in the game. Often, his AT, DF, MAT, and MDF will be within a few points of each other after factoring in base stats for his level; and assuming that his gear is of the same general quality. While he is not specialized in this way, Dart will still prove to be more than capable for just about any combat situation. It's worth mentioning that his Fire element makes him especially good at dealing damage to Water-element foes, although they will in turn deal bonus damage to Dart if they use Water attacks.

<!-- Summary of playstyle and appearance, stats and spells. -->

First paragraph will be about spirit acquisiton. Second paragraph (seen below) will cover combat style for the Dragoon. Then stats and spells.

The following table covers D'Level progression: SP required to level up, as well as the bonuses granted to Dragoon form once that level has been reached (even if SP bar is below maximum).
Dart can deal fair damage with both his physical D-attack and spells. The Red-Eye Dragoon's magic will focus on offense, featuring a mixture of both single-target and AoE abilities. While the Dragon summon spell looks powerful, beware of a critical typo in its power percentage as well as the inefficient MP cost. It is not worth using unless it'll take out multiple foes urgently, in cases where Explosion might not have dealt enough damage.

same as above format. May want to consider putting this in a collapsible section as it is a major spoiler to scroll across (players will probably view this page during a playthrough, and don't want this spoiled at Disc 2 for example)

There is space for story on the Player Character pages, however I am concerned about raw length. Only the first disc of events is listed on Dart's page, yet that's still a whopping 30+ meaty paragraphs that sorely extends the page length. Would be easily solved with a collapsible section per chapter, or even subchapter. Failing that, I think that a lot of the raw length needs to be reduced to a few paragraphs. Anything more detailed should just be referenced on the respective disc's lore page.

#While Dart is the field character, standing still for a time will cause his idle animation to play. He will cross his arms and tap his foot on the ground, as if to show that he's waiting to proceed.
References
#When dispirited in combat, his idle animation will put his arms to each side, hanging downward along with his sword.
#At the point of "red" HP, he will be down on one knee with sword angled to the ground behind him.
#There is a leftover "beta" character model of Dart for use on field maps, with orange armor and lower overall resolution. This model is actually used in at least one in-game cutscene. When Dart, Lavitz and Shana are fleeing from Hellena Prison on horseback, look at Dart's 3D model closely (or pause with video footage).
#Dart's Red-Eye Dragoon form will see a limited number of appearances in the field map outside of combat, during select cutscenes.
#The Madness Hero addition gains the highest possible amount of Spirit Points per attack.
#He is the only character known to wield two Dragoon spirits.
#Dart was going to be in Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale as DLC alongside Abe from the Oddworld series. Character artist Mike Edwards even created a 3D model for the game, but developers canceled Dart due to low sales.
#Originally, Dart's sword did not have a red hilt. It looked a bit different overall, and is still present and used in the game. Watch closely during his transformation sequence at the end of the game.
