Endiness is a large continent in the Tesfer Realm whose history stretches back over 11,000 years.[1] Based on the visible world map, Endiness is a peninsula anchored to land in the east while otherwise surrounded by the Fourtos Ocean and the Aquaria Coral Reef. There are also six lands to the far east that are only seen on the world map: Azeel, Ediroso, Losta, Nissel, Seilnder, and Vidalio.

History

The Age of Winglies, more than ~11,000 years ago
Initially the world was completely barren and devoid of life before Soa planted a seed into the earth from which the Divine Tree grew. Its 108 fruits each bore a unique species to populate the world. From the 107th fruit came winglies, who held supremacy over all other forms of life even going so far as to suspend the birth of the 108th species. Born with both intelligence and vast magical power, they were capable of wondrous feats. While there were those who wished to live as equals with other races, many winglies held no regard for the lives of slaves and treated them as little more than playthings.

The oppression of winglies led humans to found the Holy Empire of Gloriano as a seat of rebellion. Yet open conflict would not begin until humanity discovered that the power of Dragons crystalized at the moment of death and could be taken at that critical moment. Known as Dragoon Spirits, these powerful artifacts granted those who they recognized the power to transform into a Dragon Knight, a Dragoon. Armed with the power of seven Dragoons, the humans and other enslaved races fought against their oppressors in what would come to be known as the Dragon Campaign.

The Dragon Campaign, ~11,000 years ago
Over the course of the war the back wash of magical power laid waste to Gloriano, changing much of the landscape into a deadly desert that would later be known as the Death Frontier.[2] Similarly, a large island to the south was ripped apart, transforming it into the Broken Islands. The climax of the war came when the Dragoons assaulted the Royal Capital Kadessa, and sent it crashing to the ground. While most of the Dragoons lost their lives, the wingly dictator was defeated resulting in the surrender of the remaining winglies. As a show of good will, the surviving winglies granted the humans three potent magical artifacts before hiding themselves with magic in fear of further hostility or annihilation.

The Age of Humans, Present Day
Once humans came to power, they divided the continent into four regions. While the Death Frontier was left untouched, the other three territories became the present day countries of Serdio, Tiberoa, and Mille Seseau. Although destroyed, Gloriano is still noted on the north-west region of the World Map and also as a lesser title of Death Frontier. One possible explanation is that only the region that was reduced to a desert is referred to as the Death Frontier, while the northern territory remains Gloriano since it at least possesses ruins.
