The first time player sees this place is when Meru separates from the party and wants to visit her childhood friends. The second time is when the party is searching for Dragon Block Staff and Meru told them that it's there. She later has to reveal that she is a Wingly as she is forced to use her magic to open up the entrance.
The Wingly Forest is introduced when Meru separates from the party to visit her childhood friends. Her visit is generally unwelcome, narrowly dodging a magic attack from her fiance [[Guaraha]] who mistook her for an intruder. He then explains that her breaking of a Wingly commandment to stay in the Forest is problematic, but he still missed her. As Meru proceeds into the main town, she is generally met with scorn. [[Blano]], ancestor of the community, insists that she must leave at once. Guaraha tries to modestly reassure her, sharing that the timing is especially poor because the seal placed on the [[Divine Dragon]] is fading. Meru just wants to see how everyone is doing, and feels dismayed by the attitude of the community. She hopes that one day her people will be more open-minded.

Wingly Forest is found in Mille Seseau, northeast of Evergreen Forest. Hidden from the outside world with a magical seal, it is a place where Winglies that survived the Dragon Campaign made a self-sufficient society. This forest is Meru's hometown.

Story

Introduction

The Wingly Forest is introduced when Meru separates from the party to visit her childhood friends. Her visit is generally unwelcome, narrowly dodging a magic attack from her fiance Guaraha who mistook her for an intruder. He then explains that her breaking of a Wingly commandment to stay in the Forest is problematic, but he still missed her. As Meru proceeds into the main town, she is generally met with scorn. Blano, ancestor of the community, insists that she must leave at once. Guaraha tries to modestly reassure her, sharing that the timing is especially poor because the seal placed on the Divine Dragon is fading. Meru just wants to see how everyone is doing, and feels dismayed by the attitude of the community. She hopes that one day her people will be more open-minded.

In search of the Dragon Block Staff

After Meru comes back to the party in Deningrad, they go to the Crystal Palace and start discussing how to deal with the Divine Dragon. Rose mentions the Dragon Block Staff along with the Dragon Buster and Meru slips a word that she might know about it, but says that "they heard nothing." After the party runs out of other clues, Rose asks if Meru knows something, who hesitatingly responds and then guides them to the Wingly Forest. At the entrance, Meru reveals that she is a Wingly.

Everyone in the forest starts to feel even more tensed up by the visit of Meru and humans, but Ancestor Blano calms them down and gives an order allowing them to proceed. On their way towards his chambers, the party encounters the elder of the Bardel brothers who stands in their way with major gripes. Dart transforms into a Dragoon to absorb his magical attack, leaving him astonished with a sudden awe and hopelessness. Once the party arrives in Blano's chambers, he tells them that Dragon Block Staff is in the Forbidden Land. The party is then sent to retrieve the staff.

After Defeat of the Divine Dragon

The Winglies take notice that the Divine Dragon has been overcome and celebrate the event, allowing Meru to freely enter and leave the forest henceforth. As a result, most of them start to acknowledge what she has done and think about possibly leaving the forest to explore Endiness. Ancestor Blano thinks that the important role of leading Winglies should be left to younger people like Meru.
