Dragon Block Staff

The Dragon Block Staff is an ancient Wingly relic that was created to block the power of Dragons during the time of the Dragon Campaign. The staff is sought out in present day to limit the power of the recently-awakened Divine Dragon.

Dart and company travel to the Forest of Winglies to seek out the Dragon Block Staff and use it on the Divine Dragon. There, they get an audience with Ancestor Blano to inquire about it. He reveals that he knew they were coming, admitting that the times won't leave Winglies alone. Blano states that both parties must combine their strengths to overcome the Divine Dragon, or no one will survive. Winglies can no longer master the staff, but it is believed that Dragoons may be able to use it. Approaching the Wingly teleportation device, Ancestor Blano reveals that the Dragon Block Staff is sealed in the Kadessa. The party is transported by magic straight to the location, bearing witness to the ruins where the staff remains.

Deep within the ruins of Kadessa, the Dragon Block Staff is discovered in a chamber. It appears to be embedded in a large, rocky formation of some kind. Miranda notes that it doesn't appear impressive, but Rose rebuts that the appearance of an object doesn't correlate to its magical prowess. The staff has been the sole power keeping the Divine Dragon sealed away for over 10,000 years. However, using it will not make things easy. Rose goes on to convey that the Divine Dragon was sealed because they could not be tamed nor killed. Meru proceeds to retrieve the staff, when a sudden rumbling happens and a figure drops out from the ceiling; the staff sticking out of it. This is the Grand Jewel - guardian of the Dragon Block Staff. Dart and company battle in an attempt to overcome it.
