Combat
Fruegel begins battle merely spectating. He will neither act nor can he be targeted until his accompanying Hellena Wardens are defeated. At that point, he will summon two Senior Wardens and begin participating. Fruegel only deals physical damage against single targets, including outside of his regular turns by responding to being attacked with Additions. Fruegel will buff himself if he is targeted by attack items. However, he will not buff himself if a Senior Warden has already done so in response to the other Senior Warden being defeated. The player should refrain from using magic against Fruegel until a Senior Warden has been defeated and the other made to buff himself.

Abilities
Bosses act primarily according to a set of "if → then" rules and may change behavior depending on player input. Conditions are criteria, if any, that must be met in order for a Boss to take a particular action on its regular turn. When there are multiple eligible actions that a Boss can take, the Boss will select one of those actions at random. Bosses will perform an action in italics immediately, ignoring turn order, as soon as its conditions are met in addition to the Boss' regular turn.
