The Black Castle is Emperor Doel's seat of power. It looms above Kazas, in the south east of Serdio. Within its walls Imperial Sandora plots conquest, fueled by magical research using a Dragon.

Collectibles

After agreeing to take Popo's secret entrance into the castle, the party cannot return to Kazas until defeating Emperor Doel. Likewise, after defeating Emperor Doel, the Black Castle becomes completely inaccessible. The Material Shield is a unique repeat item that can only be collected here. The Beast Fang is a new weapon for Haschel that can also be dropped by Lizard Man back in Nest of Dragon.

Combat

Enemies in the Black Castle appear on screen and are triggered by contact with Dart, with a few scripted encounters that cannot be avoided. Enemies will respawn if you are healed by the White Flame or return to the caverns.
