The Dragon's Nest is the heart of a dense, gloomy forest in the mountains of south Serdio. Unlike the Forest that the party encounters early on, the dragon's forest has been warped and poison by the dragon's presence. Beneath the ground lies a warren of twisted organic growth with Feyrbrand and Greham at the center.
Story
After emerging from the crises at Volcano Villude, Dart, Shana, Rose, and Lavitz cross the mountain range and enter the forest surrounding the dragon's nest. Something stirs in the air as they enter, and Rose remarks on it first: "Guys, don't you feel something?" When they turn to look around at the mysterious growth, Rose continues: "This forest is contaminated by the dragon's poison."

Shana seems to be the most sensitive to this poison. Shortly after entering the forest, she's seen doubling over, unable to catch her breath. When Dart tries to ask what's wrong, she pulls herself together and brushes off his concerns: "I felt a little bit dizzy, that's all." While she's unsteady on her feet, she insists that she's fine and just needs a breath of fresh air. Without another word, she runs off towards a sunlit path in the gloom.
Dart and co. catch Shana up the path, resting beneath a mossy tree trunk amidst several undulating outgrowths of corrupted plants. Dart asks Shana if she's alright, and she stands up curtly: "Uh huh. Don't worry, I don't feel sick anymore." Back on her feet, she insists the party move forward.
Dart travels up through the forest along the slimy banks of a corrupted stream. The forest is covered in cobwebs, the largest of which stretches treacherously across a gaping sinkhole. When he tries to cross the cobwebs, Dart slips, the cobwebs break, and the entire party falls down the sinkhole into the caverns below.
Fortunately, the spongey floor of the corrupted undergrowth breaks their fall. In the next scene, Dart's leaning over Shana who's laid out on the ground. As Shana stirs back to consciousness, she insists she's fine again and gets unsteadily to her feet. This gives everyone the opportunity to surveil their surroundings anew: the evidence of the dragon's corruption beneath the ground is even more prevalent than on the forest floor, as the underground landscape is increasingly bizarre. Odd lights, roots, and glowing fog are in abundance.
While the party is looking at the dragon's nest, Shana notices a pool of perfectly clear water, somehow untouched by the dragon's poison. They drink and are refreshed, ready to fight Feyrbrand.
After making their way through the twisting paths in the den, the party finally reaches the heart of the nest. Instead of Feyrbrand, they are greeted by a soldier in fine armor. The man seems surprised to see them there, and recognizes Lavitz specifically. Incensed, Lavitz steps forward to get a better look at Greham. "I will never forget him!!" he says, "He used to be the head of the Second Knighthood in Basil..." He reveals that Greham used to be his father's 'best man'.
When Lavitz confronts Greham about his betrayal of Servi, the Second Knighthood, King Albert, and all of Serdio, Greham taunts him. Lavitz wants to avenge his father's senseless death, and Greham wants a chance to use his new powers. He reveals himself to be in possession of the Green Dragoon Spirit!
While Dart and Lavitz are shocked by this revelation, Rose remarks, "It shouldn't be a surprise. Only the Dragoons can manipulate dragons." Before she can finish speaking, Feyrbrand emerges. Rose demands answers: "Obtaining that power is not an easy matter... where did you get the Dragoon Spirit?" Greham, surprised that someone in Basil even knows about the Dragoon Spirits, boasts that they can know the truth before they die- that Emperor Doel got all his power and intelligence from Emperor Diaz. This is the party's first hint that the events of the Dragon Campaign are tied in with what's happening in Endiness. Rose argues that it's impossible for Diaz to be behind this plot, since he died 11,000 years ago in the Holy Imperial Gloriano.
Greham and Feyrbrand cut off the conversation before it can continue, and challenge the party to test their mettle against a true Dragoon.
Greham and Feyrbrand are formidable foes, and the party must fight or die. When Greham is mortally wounded during the battle, he retreats, clutching his 'deep gash'. The party is left to face Feyrbrand and its poison magic. When the dragon is finally defeated, Lavitz confronts Greham again. It's different this time, as Greham lies amongst the rest of the dragon's debris on the floor. "You have Servi's strength..." he says to Lavitz, before apologizing for his betrayal of Servi and Serdio. Lavitz leans over him, asking for an explanation. Greham admits that Servi was always more powerful than him, but that as time went on the admiration that he felt soured into fear. He feared knowing the limits of his own abilities, and cursed himself for his weakness. This left him vulnerable to Doel's promise of power.
As Greham dies, he says, "Now... I can go... to be with Servi." The Green Dragoon spirit leaves him, and settles in Lavitz' palm. Lavitz is inspired by this gift, but Shana suddenly collapses. She'd held out against the dragon's poison for so long that it finally overcame her. She falls, unable to breathe fully in the dank air. The party decides they must take her to Lohan, rather than back over the Villude pass, in order to expedite her treatment

Jade Dragon Dragoon Spirit (Jade Dragon DS)
After defeating Greham and Feyrbrand, the Jade Dragon Dragoon Spirit is automatically added to inventory. It enables Lavitz to transform into a Dragoon.
With the water bottle in inventory, return to the healing spring and interact with it.
