Commonly referred to as the Forbidden Land, Kadessa is a ruin of a time forgotten by the world. During the time of the Dragon Campaign, Kadessa was the royal capital of Winglies; a palace where eternal prosperity was promised. Home to monsters today, it is said that an ancient relic lies within which could limit the powers of the recently-awakened Divine Dragon.

Trivia
- Several of the Minor Enemies in this area seem to be inspired by the play "A Midsummer Night's Dream," as indicated by their aesthetic appearance. In addition, one foe's name is Puck.
- The treasure chest containing the Dancer's Shoes can be accessed from across the gap while standing on the platform south of it, despite the distance appearing too far.
- All of the submaps in this location can be grouped by ID to possess identical encounter formations and chances with others in their group. These grouping are as follows: (393, 398, and 403,) (394, 399, 404,) (395, 400, 405,) (396, 401,) and (397, 402.)
