If ever there was a game development studio that really, truly knew itself, it might be Bluepoint Games. Their choice to specialize in reworking old content is atypical from the get-go, but to do so successfully this many times now? They stand out, and they know their impact. This is evidenced – once again – with their latest post on Twitter:

This cryptic writing is tugging at the heartstrings of many a nostalgic gamer. Syphon Filter, Metal Gear, Twisted Metal and more games are hinted – even Legend of Dragoon. It is obvious to some that this is a massive troll post by Bluepoint Games, signaling that they are keenly aware of which games we’re speculating to be their oft-veiled game project.

What’s most curious is probably the question of whether their statement “not one, but two – return from shadow” is part of the trolling or a confirmation that two re-issues are on the way. Could one of them be Legend of Dragoon? Sure. It’s possible. However, it is in no way a confirmation considering how many other games are intertwined in this tease.

Either way, we must be patient. If Bluepoint’s eventual reveal does show to be LoD then we can finally let out an exasperated breath, pre-emptively bankrupt ourselves for LoD+PS5, and hope they take player feedback into account – or have already – before development gets too far along. If not, well, all the more time to prepare our united front and “wait for our turn” as the malfunctioning Laptos always told us to. If necessary, it’s okay to wait a little longer. Gives me more time to set up cool things for the global fanbase anyway!
