Project: Web 2.0

**This project is on indefinite hiatus.

This project is about creating a new, custom-built website to eventually replace this WordPress website. The goals and content of the new website will be the same. The differences will include:

  • Better performance and efficiency over CMS’s like WordPress
  • Easier to integrate and manage event listings
  • unified account system – one user account for website, wiki, forum, and so on.

Current Status

Since 2024 this project has been on indefinite hiatus. We initially had volunteers but we failed to come together due to inactivity and miscommunication.

Future

This is still a worthy project. We would need volunteers who can stick around long-term. That would include staying active well-past the site’s initial release, or leaving behind a detailed handbook for how to further edit/maintain the tech stack. We would also need a project leader we can trust to ensure the current website’s full features and vision are kept intact.
